It all began in 1936. Yat Fat Stationers Co., Ltd. (then known as Yat Fat Paper Products) was founded by Mr. Ho Yat Tung in Hong Kong on the second floor of 232 Des Voeux Road West, selling handmade Chinese-style ledger books for accounting. The business expanded quickly to include stationery and paper products and the store moved to the ground floor of 70 Des Voeux Road Central, operating under the name Yat Fat Stationers Co., Limited. |

With the fall of Hong Kong during the Sino-Japanese War, our founder expanded his business to Guangzhou, China. After the war, he closed the shop in Guangzhou and refocused his efforts in Hong Kong. The store location changed a couple of times (first to Queen Victoria Street and then to Jubilee Street) in Central before finally settling into its permanent location in Yat Fat Building at 44-46 Des Voeux Road Central in 1967. Yat Fat Stationers now offers a full range of both imported and local stationery and paper products for retail and wholesale. Our founder fully embraced the notion of social responsibility. He believed that education was the best investment and one of his passions was to provide education opportunities for the less fortunate. During his lifetime, he contributed much-needed educational and medical facilities to the village community where he grew up in Shunde, China. In 1983, he sponsored the construction of a new primary school in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. Inspired by our founder, we remain committed to supporting the community while continuing to offer quality service and products to our customers. We hereby thank you for your continued support in the past and look forward to serving you in the near and distant future. |
