Privacy Policy StatementThis policy statement provides information on the obligations and policies of "Yat Fat Stationers Co. Ltd." (the "Company") under the Hong Kong SAR Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance - Cap.486 (the "Ordinance").


1. The Company's Corporate Policy
The Company shall endeavour to ensure all collection, storage, transmission and other handling or usage of personal data by the Company shall be done in accordance with the obligations and requirements of the Ordinance.
 
2. Collection of Personal Data
When you subscribe to be a member of the Company, you may be required to provide us your personal information of which the details are setting out in our Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS). The contents of PICS set out the purpose for such collection, the disclosure, retention and storage of your personal information. The contents of PICS may be changed or updated from time to time. Users are invited to check back periodically. The matters that are not addressed in PICS, this privacy policy shall apply.


When you come to our Site, for the purpose of carrying out the Company's businesses, including sale, provision, administration of the membership services and related products and services, you may be requested to provide personal data such as
(a) Your name;
(b) Corresponding and/or billing address;
(c) Account details;
(d) Contact details such as contact name, telephone number or email address


Failure to provide such requested data or information may sometimes defer or prevent the Company from providing the products or services to you.


The Site may also collect data relating to your online session, the use of which is to provide statistical information so that we can better the services and take necessary actions against any unscrupulous party who places any illegal or unlawful contents on any website through the Company’s web servers. The Company is always dedicated in securing the customer's information. We have security system in hardware, software and inter/intranet to secure the information we obtained online. Access to your personal data is only permitted by authorized personnel.
All transmission of web page data on our website is SSL secured to ensure that the information does not get accessed or invaded by any third parties during the process of transmission.

You may at any time request access to and correct personal data relating to you in any of our records. You may also ask the Company to delete you or your personal data from any active mailing or distribution list. In response, the Company may ask you to provide certain details about yourself so that the Company can be sure you are the person to whom the data refers. The Company are required to respond to your requests within 40 days, but the Company may charge you a reasonable fee for doing so.


Personal data provided by you are retained for as long as the purposes for which such data were collected continue. Data are then destroyed unless their retention is required to satisfy legal, regulatory or accounting requirements or to protect the Corporation's interests.


6. Disclosure of Personal Data
The Company will not provide, exchange, lease or sell your personal information to other persons, organizations, private corporations or public institutions, unless due to legal or contractual obligations. 


2. The “legal or contractual obligations” in the previous paragraph to share your personal information with a third party include, but are not limited to, the following circumstances: 
(1) to cooperate with legal investigation initiated by judicial authorities; 
(2) to cooperate with competent authorities in discharge of their duties to investigate or use (such as financial audit carried out by the National Audit Office of the R.O.C. or a certified public accountant); 
(3) a good-faith belief that the disclosure of your personal information is required by law; 
(4) to determine your identity, to provide contact information or to take legal actions, when necessary, if you as a website visitor violate the service terms of III, or are likely to jeopardize or interfere with the interests of III or result in damages to any person;
